Habitat for Humanity
Bethany is a part of the The Cobb Interfaith Habitat Coalition (CIHC) which is an interfaith group including Christian, Jewish and Muslim faiths focused on funding and building Habitat homes to give back to the community. CIHC received the Creating Community Award in 2013 for their efforts to further the goals of diversity and inclusion in the community. Bethany is proud that this year will mark our 20th Habitat build! We support build by providing funding as well as volunteers.
Angel Tree
Each year for Christmas, Bethany UMC adopts families from Russell Elementary (names given to us by the school) who need help with Christmas gifts offering Bethany members the opportunity to adopt one of the families in need. This past year we also supported a family in the United Methodist Children’s Home Foster Care Program.
