Bethany United Methodist Church (760 Hurt Road in Smyrna) invites you and your family to an old-time revival where we will Praise God and celebrate his blessings in our community. This will be an event for EVERYONE the weekend of September 27-29.



Friday, September 27:
2-7pm: Red Cross Blood Drive.  Click here for link to sign-up at Red Cross website.
7-9:30pm: PRAISE band concerts featuring Smyrna First Praise and Bethany Praise. Also speaking will be Reverend Ken Cross, Pastoral Counselor and Director for Christian Counseling Services (http://mariettaccs.com).

Saturday, September 28:
9-9:45am: Coffee and Donuts
10-11am: Praise Service with music by Mark Fuller Gospel Sing (www.markfullermusic.com) and inspirational message by the Reverend Ken Cross.
11:30-1pm: Cookout with Hot Dogs and Hamburgers

12-2PM Flu shots available - This is free to those that have insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid. Otherwise, a nominal fee will be charged.

1-3pm: Games on the Grounds for all ages!
3-4pm: Afternoon Praise Service with PeachLand Trio (www.peachlandquartet.com/index.html) and message by Jasmine Smothers (www.atlantafumc.net/pages/aboutus/staff-smothers.html)

Sunday, September 29:
10am: short, motivational service led by our Senior Pastor, Susan Taylor
10:30- 12pm: Congregation to go out into the community to serve. You may signup for the ministry of your choice beginning August 18th. Come dressed ready to be sent out and serve for this event, maybe a Bethany T-shirt? We will have other sign-up opportunities before for these projects:

12-2PM Flu shots available - This is free to those that have insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid. Otherwise, a nominal fee will be charged.

  • Prayer Shawl Ministry
  • Community Car Wash
  • Cobb Beautiful
  • Habitat for humanity
  • Prayer Walk
  • Visitation to Assisted Living or Children’s home

12noon: Re-convene for a covered dish lunch and share stories of service.

Childcare Available:

Childcare will be provided for the PRAISE Revival for children ages prek and younger. Please register for this free childcare by emailing Mary Jane Higman at maryjane@bethanyumc.net and advising her of the children's names, ages, and dates of attendance.

What we need to make this event a success:
•          Donations toward the rental bounce houses and rock climbing wall (Saturday)
•          Prayers for a successful event and beautiful weather
•          Your homemade treats for our Friday night concert and covered dish for lunch on Sunday.
