Bethany's members express their love and praise of God though their kindness, compassion, work, and most of all music.
Under the direction of Music Director Patti Harris, Bethany UMC has an active Music & Drama ministry, with choirs for all ages, a Praise Band, and a newly formed Drama ministry.
Periodically we are treated to special music performances by choir members, youth, or our own Bethany Praise Band. If you were not fortunate enough to hear these performances, or would like to enjoy them again, click the links below.
The Chancel Choir performs at the 11:00 Service on Sunday mornings. The Chancel Choir practice is held on Wednesday evenings, from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. in the Music Room.

The Bethany Praise Band, led by Clay Jenkins, performs at the 8:45 Contemporary Service on Sunday mornings.
Band members include: Clay Jenkins, Shannon Droms, Dawn Simpson, Dean Higman, Charles Higman, Danny Lankford, and Dan Mattox.
There are two children’s choirs at Bethany UMC, directed by Patti Harris. Both choirs sing for the congregation every 6-8 weeks to ensure enough rehearsal time.
- The Cherub Choir is from Pre-K through Kindergarten, and meets every Sunday morning from 9:45 - 10:00 a.m. in the Music Room.
- The Melody Choir is from grades 1st through 5th and meets each Sunday afternoon from 4:00 until 4:30 p.m. in the Music Room. The Melody Choir participates every year in the Christmas and Easter cantatas.
- The Youth Choir is from grades 6th through 12th and meets each Sunday afternoon from 3:00 p.m. Until 4:00 in the Music Room. The Youth Choir participates every year in the Christmas and Easter cantatas.

Due to several people expressing an interest, the Drama Ministry at Bethany was formed in the Fall 2009. No auditions are necessary, and one doesn't have to have experience or training in drama to join up. Actors are needed, but for those with a serious case of stage fright, there are plenty of opportunities for those who can work with props, costumes, sets, lighting and sound.
Drama is a great way to reach the community in a non-confrontational way, a great stress reducer, a great avenue for self-expression, and an easy way to make new friends. One of the beautiful things about drama is that it connects people; drama also teaches a good lesson about life: If you mess up (and you will!), just let it go and keep going!" For as they say...."The show must go on!"

The Handbell Choir meets seasonally to work on special music for Christmas and Easter. They rehearse on Sunday afternoons from 5:00 p.m. Until 6:00 p.m. No experience is necessary and private training sessions are available, when time and schedule allows.
