On the 22nd of every month, volunteers from Bethany UMC prepare and serve dinner at Elizabeth Inn, as a part of MUST Ministries.
A sign up sheet is available on the missions bulletin board or you can contact a member of the Missions team directly to volunteer. Volunteers prepare dinner and then travel to Elizabeth Inn located just off US-41 north of Marietta, where they serve dinner to the roughly 50 guests of Elizabeth Inn. Some of the volunteers then spend the night and do the laundry. Your contribution of time would be welcome whether for preparing dinner, serving dinner, or spending the night. Bethany has been a consistent supporter of MUST Ministries and the Elizabeth Inn. Participating is a rewarding way to give back to the community. Involve your Sunday School Class or join in with some of your friends. Teens with parents are welcome and encouraged to volunteer.

Bethany has been involved in several Habitat for Humanity projects. The many opportunities to proactively become involved in a hands-on mission project is one of the outstanding benefits of this special mission. The interaction with other churches and volunteers is highly attractive. We encourage our members to participate in one or several weekend days. Join Habitat for Humanity and be a hands-on volunteer.

Bethany has a long history of mission work outside our local community. In years past, we have coordinated church-wide missions trips to Belize, Alaska, and most recently, the Bahamas. Through mission trips, we are able to provide building construction and repair services to these under-served areas, as well as spread the message of Christ's love across the world.
In addition, Bethany Youth organize annual mission trips to help those closer to home. In 2010, they will be travelling to Kentucky for a week-long mission trip.
