At Bethany, we feel a commitment to helping our community and world, and sharing the love of Jesus Christ with others.
Bethany contributes to our local community through mission work including Habitat for Humanity and serving dinner and collecting donations for MUST Ministries. We have helped the larger community through mission trips to the Bahamas, Alaska, and Belize. In addition, several groups at the church also contribute to mission work on their own, including the Youth, the United Methodist Women, and the United Methodist Men's groups.
Bethany UMC also sponsors several programs to benefit the community:

- New Beginnings
Children's Consignment Sale - Boy Scouts & Girls Scouts
- Vacation Bible School
- A New Way Counseling Center
- North Georgia State Fair Concession Booth
- Trunk-or-Treat
- Easter Egg Hunt
Bethany also has ongoing collection drives throughout the year for the following items:
- Clothing / Non-Perishable Food Items for MUST Ministries
- Donations for Cobb Street Ministries
- Box Tops for Education for Red Bird Mission
- Campbell's Soup Labels for Murphy Harpst Children's Home
- Used Eyeglasses, Cell Phones, and Hearing Aids for Lions International
Bins are located in the Sunday School hall to collect donated items.
